I am an Assistant Professor in the Greenberg School of Risk Management at the Tobin College of Business. I study decision-making under risk and uncertainty, focusing on how forecasts shape risk financing and adaptation strategies. My research combines empirical and theoretical approaches to address two core questions: First, how do individuals and organizations interpret forecast information and translate it into risk management responses? Second, how would these optimal responses evolve as forecasting and prediction technologies continually improve?

I received my Ph.D. in Risk Management and Insurance from Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison, my PGDM (Finance) from IIM Lucknow, and B.Tech. (Engineering Physics) from IIT Bombay. In my earlier avatar, I worked for nine years in the financial services risk management, primarily in credit risk analytics and risk transfer using structured products.
