Kathryn Vavrica joins St. John’s University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Industry Professional in the Department of Radiologic Sciences in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She earned her M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University.

Prior to joining St. John’s University, Ms. Vavrica worked in the field of radiology for 20 years, primarily as a Magnetic Resonance (MR) Technologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She remains current with technology and patient care as a per diem MR technologist.

Ms. Vavrica is a licensed Radiologic, Computed Tomography, and MR Technologist. Her research interest is patient care, with a focus on communication and its positive effect on diagnostic imaging. She is also interested in building instructional guidelines and an organization for radiologic technologists to begin a career teaching at the collegiate level in radiologic sciences.
