St. John’s has partnered with Experian to provide employment and income verifications at no cost to employees. The information is available instantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mortgages, car loans, student loans, credit cards, new employers, landlords, public assistance, and many others require verification of your employment. This process provides the fastest and most secure way to verify your employment at St. John’s University. It is the University's policy to verify only job title and dates of employment. Salary data is only provided to those institutions that have been vetted to receive such information.

Employee Instructions
To get started:
1. Visit Experian at https://experianverify.com
2. Log in under "I am an Employee" with your credentials
- First time users will need to take a few moments to set up an account as an Employee by providing the required information when prompted. Please refer to the Employee Instructions for detailed steps on how to register your account.
- The Employer Access code is: 853B4FAD
3. From the Employee Portal, you will be able to view your employment information, including verification report, verifier history, and generate verification letters.
If someone is requesting proof of employment, provide them with the following:
- Experian's website https://experianverify.com
- Your full name
- Your Social Security Number
- Name of Employer: St. John's University
- Signed Authorization (only if requesting income information)
Employer/Verifier Instructions
To obtain proof of employment and/or income on an employee:
1. Visit Experian at https://experianverify.com
- First time users will need to take a few moments to set up an account as a verifier, and provide the required information as prompted. Please refer to the Verifier Instructions for detailed steps on how to set up an account.
- Note: You must have employee authorization to access the information you seek and be credentialed by Experian.
2. Enter the employee’s social security number
3. Your report will be displayed instantly. You will be able to download a copy for your records.
