St. John's University to Honor Veterans with Ceremony on November 7
St. John’s University will hold its annual Veteran’s Day ceremony to pay respect to all U.S. Veterans on November 7. This event will honor both recent Veterans and those dating back to the Korean War, with many St. John’s student veterans in attendance. The St. John’s Community will honor those who have risked it all to protect our country and educate students on the importance of this day.

These two majolica albarello (storage jars used in apothecaries) are similar in size, shape, and design. The inscriptions tell us what pharmaceutical substances they would have held (possibly a laxative and a saline solution). The jar with the dark blue background features a religious symbol, depicting two arms in front of a cross, in a yellow-brown glaze, while the jar with the white background contains only floral patterns.
President’s Dinner Raises $2.3 Million for Scholarship Funds, While Honoring Leaders in Service
Supporting aid for students has been the Dinner’s aim since its inception in 1998. Over the past two decades, it has raised more than $30 million in scholarship funds.
