Family Orientation

Welcome to St. John's University — we are delighted to include you in the family! We are excited to welcome you to campus this fall at our Family Orientation program where you will get to meet and mingle with other St. John's families.

During Family Orientation, you will have opportunities to interact with academic college deans and representatives from University offices. Throughout the day, you will learn about what to expect for your student as you plan for their arrival on campus this fall.

Family Orientation takes place on the same day and time as Student Orientation. The two programs do not intersect on campus but run simultaneously. While Family Orientation is not required, it is highly recommended. Please note there is a session designed to include the family members of our transfer students as well. Fall Family Orientation

The Family Orientation program begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

Families of First-Year Students:

• Overnight Orientation Session 1: Wednesday, July 9 to Thursday, July 10, 2025 (2-day overnight session)
• Session 1: Wednesday, July 16, 2025
• Session 2: Wednesday, July 23, 2025
• Session 3: Wednesday, July 30, 2025
• Session 4: Wednesday, August 13, 2025
• Session 5: Friday, August 29, 2025

Families of Transfer Students:

• Thursday, August 28, 2025
