Red Storm Athletes Earn National Recognition
Throughout the fall and spring seasons, St. John’s University athletes have continued to achieve individual and team success nationally and in BIG EAST Conference play.

Awards Dinners Raise Money to Support Student Success
The generosity of alumni and friends who share St. John’s commitment to ensuring student success was evident this spring at three celebratory dinners that recognized academic, athletic, and professional excellence while providing financial support for the University’s students.

St. John’s Finishes Sixth at the 2017 NCAA Championships
After Andras Nemeth and Cooper Schumacher both took home the NCAA individual championship in men’s foil and epee, respectively, on Friday afternoon the Red Storm boasted three female fencers on the piste on Sunday in Indianapolis and Mathilda Taharo led the way finishing in a tie for third place.

St. John's Qualifies Eight Fencers for NCAA Championships
After collecting five medals, including three first place finishes, at the NCAA Northeast Regional this past Sunday, the St. John’s fencing team earned eight qualifiers for the 2017 NCAA Championships to be held at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis from March 23-26 and will be hosted by the University of Notre Dame.

Sandra Udobi Named to Allstate WBCA Good Works Team
On Tuesday, St. John’s redshirt senior Sandra Udobi was named to the 2017 Allstate Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Good Works Team®.

The St. John’s Athletic Department honored more than 200 student-athletes in an on-court presentation during the men’s basketball game against Xavier at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Tartamella Earns 100th Win in 60-50 Victory over Providence
Leading 50-48 with under three minutes to go in the fourth, the St. John’s women’s basketball team used a 10-0 run to take a 60-48 advantage with 17 seconds to play as the Johnnies pulled away from Providence, 60-50, at Carnesecca Arena Sunday afternoon.
Kathy Meehan to be Honored as ECAC Legend at 2016 MSG Holiday Festival
Associate Vice President for St. John's Athletics and Senior Women Administrator Kathy Meehan will be honored as an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Legend during halftime of the 2016 Madison Square Garden Holiday Festival matchup between St. John's and Penn State on Dec. 18.
St. John's Track & Field Hosts Achilles International Athletes for Practice
Head Coach Jim Hurt and his Johnnies will host local athletes from Achilles International for morning practices once a week throughout the rest of the fall.
