Elisabeth Fondren named 2020 AEJMC Kopenhaver Center Fellow

The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication selected Elisabeth Fondren, Assistant Professor of Journalism, in the Division of Mass Communication at The Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies as a 2020 Kopenhaver Center Fellow.

She will attend the “Women Faculty Moving Forward (WFMF) Workshop: 100 Years from Suffrage to Academic Leadership” as part of the AEJMC national conference on August 5, 2020, where she will get the opportunity to network and connect with other fellows.

The Kopenhaver Center was created to empower both women professionals and academics in all the fields of communication, in order to develop visionaries and leaders who can make a difference in their communities and their profession.

The fellowship is sponsored by the AEJMC Commission on the Status of Women and the Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication at Florida International University.
