In the first partnership of its kind for Insurtech education, the St. John’s University Tobin Center for Executive Education and insurance technology company CoverWallet have agreed to work together to develop thought leadership initiatives that include events, conferences, and research.
This strategic alliance also calls for the two entities to collaborate on course development planning for students and insurance executives, as Insurtech has grown to be a critical focus area for the industry. Such collaborations will add value to the academic programs at the School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University, of which the Center is a division.
“This partnership further enhances the Center’s position as a leader in the Insurtech thought leadership, and learning and development spaces,” said Herbert M. Chain, M.B.A., M.S., C.P.A., Executive Director of the Tobin Center for Executive Education. “In addition, it will provide our students, faculty and Center clients with a deep exposure to trends disrupting the industry.”
“The insurance industry is rapidly changing, and CoverWallet is committed to advancing the way businesses handle all of their commercial insurance needs by making it easy, convenient, and simple,” said Aman Khaira, Vice President of Product at CoverWallet. “This alliance will bring together key players to collaborate and understand all of the ways that technology is evolving insurance.”
In addition to Chain and Khaira, the initiative will be co-led by Larry Pistell, Senior Associate Director of the Tobin Center for Executive Education.
