Project Summary:
This is a faculty-guided project, and ONLY for the highly motivated, and driven-graduate students. And, this project is open to any graduate student at St. John's University, regardless of the major. The following are the objectives: (1) how robots are used in today's small or large manufacturing; (2) experience and show programming skills in the use of desktop robots; (3) understand that today's commercial products are assembled, using supply-chains, drawn from more than one location, which includes global digital and a variety of makerspaces. And (4) be willing to make the commitment, and complete the project, which are reasonable in time and content.

Qualifications:
Students with some computer programming skills, with an aptitude to be creative and independent, are required. Flexibility in work schedule, as the project is moving forward is important. The meeting times can be once-a-week, that can last about 1 or 2 hours. First-year graduate students are preferred.

Job Responsibilities: 
Job responsibilities broadly includes the following:

• Understanding robots and their applications;
• program table-top robots;
• assemble small robots;
• design and create unique applications for robots;
• hopefully create robot apps to enhance user-friendliness.
