- Susan Glantz receives Peter Basa Lifetime Achievement Award
Dr. Susan Glanz, Professor in the Division of Administration & Economics was honored as recipient of the Peter Basa lifetime achievement award given biennially to a longstanding member of the American Hungarian Educators’ Association (AHEA) who has devoted time and talent to help advance the mission of AHEA.
Dr. Glanz served two terms as president of AHEA between 2000 and 2004, and each year, (for decades) she worked behind the scenes on the Annual Conference Program to cluster the topics to arrange them in logical coherent order. She is known for her emotional intelligence, collegiality, high level of professionalism, quick, inquisitive mind, no-nonsense organizational skills and her team spirit. Dr. Glanz has been mentor to several young academics and scholars devoted to the teaching and dissemination of Hungarian culture in the USA and Canada.
