- Summer Schedule
Due to our remote workplace situation during this pandemic, Summer Fridays are suspended this year. This helps ensure that adequate numbers of staff and administrators are available to support the safe return of our students and employees to campus this fall. We encourage all employees to use their vacation time as we continue to work remotely; although we are all home, time away from work provides opportunities to engage in some much-needed self-care.
As a reminder, many medical providers have expanded behavior health and wellness benefits for their participants during this critical time. Oxford/United Health Care provides the Live and Work Well website where plan participants can get support, answers, and expert care.
Additionally, the University’s employee assistance program provider, CCA Inc., offers free, live webinars on a variety of topics, such as parenting during COVID-19, financial planning, and managing stress, as well as an “aware mindfulness channel” for 10-minute well-being exercises. These are great opportunities to check in with yourself and others.
Keep referring to the Work from Home Resources page for new webinars and additional resources being added weekly. CCA Inc. is also available to all University employees, and their household or family members, for individual consultations. They maintain a confidential, 24-hour helpline at 800-833-8707. Calls are always answered by a licensed/certified mental health professional who assesses needs, responds competently to emergency situations, and promptly directs callers to the appropriate expert area(s).
Be well.
