- Spring Academic Service-Learning
As an integral component of the Vincentian Institute for Social Action, Academic Service-Learning (AS-L) provides an opportunity for students to connect with course concepts through a pedagogical approach whereby students actively engage in Vincentian service that benefits the common good. Additionally, AS-L allows you to implement what has been identified by the Association of American Colleges and Universities as a high-impact educational practice.
If you plan to include Academic Service-Learning into your course(s) for the spring semester, please take a moment to complete the registration form.
For questions regarding AS-L, assistance in finding a community partner, and/or help designing your AS-L assignment, the AS-L staff is here to support you. For Discover New York faculty, please contact Lorraine Wright, Coordinator, at [email protected]. All other faculty should contact Louis Saavedra, Assistant Director, at [email protected].
Thank you for your ongoing support of Academic Service-Learning at St. John’s University.
