Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Office of Campus Ministry invites you to celebrate the holy day Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Assumption commemorates Mary’s bodily assumption into heaven—a foretaste of our own bodily resurrection at the end of time. Since it signifies the Blessed Virgin’s passing into eternal life, it is the most important of all Marian feasts.

The Solemnity Mass for this holy day will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 15, as follows:

Queens Campus
8 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
St. Thomas More Church

Staten Island Campus
12:15 p.m.
St. Vincent de Paul Chapel

Note: There is no Vigil Mass on Monday, August 14.
