Policy Updates from Human Resources

The Human Resources Policy Manual is a comprehensive guide to the University’s employment-related policies for staff and administrators. Employees are encouraged to frequently check online for policy updates.

The Office of Human Resources sends all supervisors a detailed summary of individual policy changes on an annual basis. Your supervisor was recently notified of these updates. You should not wait for notification to find out about policy changes. As a reminder, you also have access to an Employee Handbook that serves as an employment guide and includes policy summaries.

To search the policy manual on the HR website, either use the Recent Policy Updates tab to find recent updates listed by date of change or use the Alphabetical Listing tab to search policies by title. You can also search by topics using the Table of Contents tab.

Typically, most revisions are made to clarify or update a policy or to comply with the law. Of note, three new policies posted since the last annual update include #129 Employment of Foreign Nationals; #130 Hybrid Work Policy; and #1037 Use and Operation of Motorized, E-Mobility, and Manual Devices and Equipment on University Campuses.
