- Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the Office of Human Resources wants employees to know that we offer many free resources to support their mental health.
Our mental health helps us to focus at work, overcome obstacles, realize our potential, and get along with other people. During Mental Health Month, let’s challenge ourselves to look around at how different factors affect our mental health. While parts of our environment may be out of our control, there are steps we can take to change our space and protect our well-being.
A great starting point for prioritizing mental health is our Employee Assistance Program, CCA@YourService, which can be reached confidentially 24/7 at 800-833-8707. The program offers employees and their family free access to resources that support total well-being, from professional counseling to provider location and referrals for everyday needs, including health and wellness practitioners, support groups, volunteer opportunities, and more. Visit www.myccaonline.com for additional well-being resources.
CCA@YourService will host four complimentary webinars throughout Mental Health Awareness Month:
- Handling and Managing Chaos–Wednesday, May 3, at noon Register
- Community and Giving Back: Leaving Our Footprint–Thursday, May 11, at 3 p.m. Register
- Psychological Safety–Tuesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. Register
- The Art of Feng Shui–Wednesday, May 24, at 1 p.m. Register
For additional information and resources, please refer to the Webinar Series flyer, along with the Mental Health Resource Guide, Mental Health Matters Manager Guide, Prioritizing Mental Health flyer, 31 Ways to Work on Wellness, and Psychological Safety tip sheet.
Let’s make our mental health a priority, not just in May, but every month. Change won’t happen overnight. Instead, by focusing on small changes, we can move through the challenges we face and develop long-term strategies to support ourselves on an ongoing basis.
