- Lenten Reflections 2020: Day 7
Name: Brandon Turner ’16CPS, ’17MS
Department/College: The Peter J.Tobin College of Business
Scripture of the Day: IS 55: 10-11; MT 6: 7-15
During this season of Lent, what can we do to rededicate our lives and return to the calling of Christ? Should we start intentionally blocking time on calendars for Lenten reflections and prayer services, sign up for community service for almsgiving, or refrain from meat, candy, or technology?
Today’s readings remind us that our rededication does not require anything big or sacrificial—but often takes shape in the small.
Even further, Christ reminds us that our prayer and reflection can start with something as simple as an “Our Father, who art in heaven.”
For many of us, our day begins with overwhelming tasks, challenges, and responsibilities. During Lent, let us not forget about the value and power of one short, simple prayer.
