In life, I feel that we forget that we are never left or forsaken by God. I am very fortunate to know that God is with me every step of the way. Even when life gets tough, God always provides. This reading is very powerful because we see a story that is relatable: deception. The story takes us on a journey of a woman who does not turn her back on God, even when it seems like it is the only option. She later learns that even when the world turns its back on you, God will always be with you; he will never leave you, and he will fight all of your battles, big or small.
I remember a time when I felt that everything in my world was turned upside down. I did not pray, fast, or read the Bible. When that period of suffering ended, I was able to restore my faith through music. I thought that during this time God turned his back on me, so I felt that it was only right to turn my back on Him.
What I did not realize was all that God has in store for me through my faith was coming out through my music. Even though I was not reading the Bible or worshipping, I realized that God never left me because He saved me.
My faith was strengthened and restored; I was able to walk in the dark valley and fear no evil because He was at my side.
