- Lenten Reflections 2020: Day 29
Name: Grace Musser
Title: Student, Class of 2022
Department/College: St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Scripture of the Day: Solemnity of the Annunciation, Is 7:10–14; 8:10, Ps. 40; Heb 10:4–10, Lk 1:26–38
Lent is a beautiful time in our hectic lives for us to stop, reflect on, and appreciate what we have in this present moment. Life demands a lot of us, but Lent provides an opportunity for us to nourish our souls, which are often neglected because of other priorities.
It is easily forgotten that in order for us to reach our full potential, we must tend to our spirituality— however we define it.
Whether it be through meditation, writing, reading, or something else, I encourage you to take 10 minutes out of each day during Lent to do something that grounds you. We cannot pour from an empty cup.
