- Lenten Reflections 2020: Day 12
Name: Elvira Garcia
Title: Student, Catholic Scholar, President’s Society member, Founder and Vice President of DALE
Department/College: The School of Education, Childhood Education major
Scripture of the Day: GN 12:1-4A | PS 33 | MT 17:1-9
As I read today’s scripture, I think about my postgraduate plans. As students, we constantly think about our future, especially if we will graduate soon and step into the “real world.”
Some questions we may constantly reflect on include “What does my future hold for me?” and “Am I on the right track?”
These verses from Genesis remind us that God has a plan for everyone. This reading reminds me to stop stressing about the future and start to trust the process God has in store.
Throughout the process, God provides us with a variety of blessings to assist us with remaining on the right track—whether that is through opportunities, people, and/or communities.
As the semester nears its end, one chapter closes and another opens. I look forward to experiencing the next chapter of my life; stressing about it is futile because God has me covered.
