- Introducing Come Back to Me: A Journey of Renewal and Restoration
For the next 40 days, Christians throughout the world enter into a period of personal and communal introspection. It is a time to intentionally reflect on our spiritual lives and where we feel there is a need for renewal and restoration; it is marked by prayer, fasting, and service.
The spiritual writer Sr. Joan D. Chittister, O.S.B., offers us this perspective:
“Lent is a call to renew a commitment grown dull, perhaps, by a life more marked by routine than by reflection…Lent requires me, as a Christian, to stop for a while, and to reflect again on what is going on in me.”
We are blessed to have 40 individuals from the St. John’s University community offer their own stories, insights, and wisdom as they reflect on their own journey and faith experience this Lent. We hope you find these reflections to be a source of inspiration, grace, and support during this holy season.
