Please note the following gate (PDF) closures on St. John’s University’s Queens, NY, campus:

  • Gate 3, located on Utopia Parkway and 80th Road, will remain closed until further notice; the gate infrastructure is being replaced.
  • Gate 7, located on 172nd Street and 82nd Avenue next to the Residence Village, will be closed effective February 22, 2022; it will be used for the construction of the Health Sciences Center.

To alleviate and control the volume of traffic on campus, all construction personnel assigned to the demolition and building of the Health Sciences Center will park in the rear of the Residence Village in the Grand Central Parkway lot.

Members of the University community who normally utilize these gates should use any of the other gates on campus for access and egress. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support and cooperation.
