- December and January Work Arrangements
As we come to the end of the fall 2020 semester, we would like to thank everyone in the community for their role in keeping our campuses safe, which enabled the University to complete the semester as planned, without interruption. It is important to remain vigilant as we prepare for the spring semester so that we can welcome our students back to the same safe environment our University provided during the fall months.
During the time period November 23, 2020 through January 25, 2021, we are asking employees who are able to work remotely, to work remotely, when possible. However, the campuses of the University will be open during this time with appropriate on campus staffing to provide necessary services. Individuals working on campus will enter through Gate No. 6 and follow existing protocols, including completing the wellness survey before coming to campus, and complying with on campus policies regarding face coverings, social distancing, and washing your hands frequently. Please note that there will be limited services available on campus during these months, e.g., no food service. Where needed, student workers will be permitted to work on campus. It is the responsibility of each department to ensure that managers/faculty supervisors are present on campus while students are working.
Our continued vigilance while on and off-campus is critical to trying to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Please do not come to campus if you feel sick or have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19. In addition, employees will be required to follow the NY State quarantine protocols after traveling out of state. If you have any questions, please contact the Employee Benefits Office at 718-990-2363.
As always, we thank you for your commitment to our community health and behavioral standards. We will overcome these challenges by working together as a community. We pray for God’s continued blessings and protection on you and your families.
