Congratulations 2023 Values and Inclusion Program (VIP) recipients

It is our pleasure to announce the 2023 Values and Inclusion Program (VIP) recipients who were nominated by members of the St. John’s University community. Each year, the VIP provides an opportunity for students, faculty, administrators, and staff to recognize employees who demonstrate inclusive excellence by expressing the St. John’s core values of truth, love, respect, opportunity, excellence, and service.

This year, 27 employees were nominated and three were selected by the VIP review committee to receive an award presented by Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P., President, at the Employee Recognition Convocation that was held in May.

The Values and Inclusion Program was created in 2019 by the Office of Human Resources with support from the Office of Equity and Inclusion. Nomination as a VIP means that a colleague or student at St. John’s believes that an employee’s actions further the institution’s commitment to welcome and celebrate the intrinsic worth of all members of the community.
