- Building Tech Equity and Accessibility: Faculty Development on AI and Inclusion
The Academic Center for Equity and Inclusion (ACEI) invites faculty to attend the virtual discussion on “Building Tech Equity and Accessibility: Faculty Development on AI and Inclusion,” on Thursday, September 14, at 1:50 p.m. This event is being sponsored by the ACEI Teaching Fellows and is designed to engage a faculty community committed to the evaluation and integration of accessibility, ethics, inclusion, and the integrity of technology use within the educational environment.
Guest speaker Stephanie W. Cawthon, Ph.D., will discuss the role of accessibility and equity with technology use in higher education. Her mission is to translate research into practices that help millions of deaf and disabled Americans succeed—at schools and colleges, at work or training programs, and most importantly at life. Her 28-year career in teaching and research has been dedicated to studying how people achieve educational success, how it leads to life satisfaction, and what schools, governments, and parents can do to help ensure it happens.
