20th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration
D’Angelo Center Ballroom
Friday, January 27, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 4:30 p.m.)
St. John’s University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs and Project AIM cordially invite you to attend the 20th annual Lunar New Year Celebration.
In East Asian astrology, 2023 is the year of the Rabbit. The Rabbit symbolizes mercy, elegance, and beauty. It is considered to be one of the luckiest of the 12 animals for both wealth and career. The year 2023 is predicted to be a year for hope.
Come join us in attracting positive energy for the Lunar New Year through a traditional lion dance, cultural performances by a professional dance team and St. John’s Asian student organizations, cultural activities, and a raffle. The dinner menu includes authentic Chinese, Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese cuisine, bubble tea, and Asian pastries.
Student organizations cosponsoring this event include Alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc., the Chinese Student and Scholar Association, Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Philippine-Americans Reaching Everyone, and the Vietnamese Student Association.
Seating is limited; all guests must RSVP in advance online.
