Entrepreneurial. Experiential. Global.
The Thomas J. Cox Honors Jr. Honors Program creates a network for our exceptional scholars by cultivating a mindset of higher performance across the realms of academic performance, intellectual curiosity, and leadership development. This results in a high-impact graduate with initiative, ambition, and the work ethic to make an immediate contribution to employers upon hiring.
Our Honors Program provides participants the opportunity to share an academic journey with fellow elite scholars, as well as our distinguished faculty. Enriched curricular and co-curricular activities within this program are designed to stimulate intellectual, professional, and personal growth by combining elements of career development, research, and corporate activites.
Participating students will take a minimum of 21 credits of Honors courses within The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. In addition to the elevated coursework, students will hear from industry speakers, conduct research with faculty within their major, connect with Tobin College alumni, and engage with career counselors in their first year.
Develop a Global Perspective
We believe a global perspective is critical for graduates to be successful in their careers. To support this vision, select Junior-level students in this Honors Program are offered the opportunity to participate in a funded European Experience trip that complements coursework completed in the program and builds life-long professional networks with peers.
Students preferring to travel as part of another Tobin Global Destination Course may receive a stipend towards the cost of the trip.
In the Sophomore year highly engaged honor students can avail of a domestic trip to enhance their understanding of corporate governance.
