- Writing Group for Immigrant, International, Bilingual, and Multilingual Graduate Students
Join Writing Across Communities for a writing group series for international, immigrant, bilingual, and multilingual graduate students from all schools at SJU.
This group provides a space where graduate students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds can work together with a faculty member, a doctoral fellow, and an undergraduate writing coordinator to share their writing experiences and assist each other during the writing process. The goal of the group is to ensure that the authentic writing experiences of international, immigrant, multilingual and bilingual students are not blurred by hierarchal learning systems that are rooted in the marginalization of non-Western languages and cultures.
