- May Is Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental health is one of your greatest assets. It helps you focus at work, overcome obstacles, realize your potential, and get along with others—all of which are even more essential during times of change and uncertainty.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has provided tips, a mental health reference guide, self-care resources, and more (found on the EAP webpage in the Information and Resources section). In addition, the EAP will host three webinars throughout May available to all employees and their family members:
- Understanding Mental Health
Thursday, May 5, at noon
Register for Understanding Mental Health
- A Manager’s Guide to Check-In Conversations
Thursday, May 12, at 3 p.m.

It’s important to remember that working on your mental health and finding tools to help you thrive take time. The EAP is a great starting point for prioritizing your mental health. The program offers in-the-moment support and referrals to professional counseling for any issue that’s on your mind. You can reach the EAP confidentially 24/7 at 800-833-8707 or www.myccaonline.com (company code: stjohns).
