Tiyana Farmbry, Class of 2018, was the recipient of the 4.0 Award and President of the Year Award - First Place for her high academic achievements and leadership.

On March 31, 2018 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.'s 87th North Atlantic Regional Conference took place in New York, NY at the New York Hilton Midtown. Many sisters in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.'s throughout Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Eastern New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont came together March 28 - April 1, 2018 to participate in training and leadership development offered at the regional conference to ensure a successful program year in local chapters. Tiyana Farmbry, Class of 2018, was the recipient of the 4.0 Award and President of the Year Award - First Place for her high academic achievements and leadership. It is an accomplishment her mom (who’s also an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Member) is proud of. Tiyana majored in Public Relations with a minor in advertising, and her career goal is to be a Director of Public Relations or Media Relations of a university in New York. Currently, Tiyana is continuing her education at St. John’s as she pursues a Master’s in International Communications.
