Looking for a primer on how to guide your student's post-bachelor's educational goals? In this webinar, Career Services will provide an overview on applying to graduate programs from law school to medical school to business school to master's and doctoral programs. Learn about preparing application materials (such as personal statements, resumes, and requesting letters of recommendation), navigating standardized tests (such as the LSAT, MCAT or GRE), and understanding deadlines. Our Office of Graduate Admissions will provide insight on applying to the myriad of terrific graduate programs offered here at St. John's.

Our commitment to our Global Mission continues well beyond the first year, with semester opportunities in Paris and Rome; a nationally unique three-country semester program traveling to Limerick, Paris and Rome; exchange partners around the world; and a rotation of short-term programs in a range of majors throughout the calendar year. The Office of International Education will present on the range of options for St. John’s students, including information on safety, academics, financial aid and scholarships.

What to Expect on Move-In Day
What to pack and what NOT to pack! If we show up early, can we move in then? What happens if we show up late to our scheduled Move-In appointment? Are there assigned beds in a suite? Is the dining hall open for students and/or families on Move-In Day? What time does Move-In end? Answers to all of these questions and more will be shared as we prepare to welcome our Johnnies to their new home!
College 101: Foundations for a Successful First Year
The transition to college is both exciting and challenging. That's why we have created this new 8-week workshop for first-year students. Through fun and engaging classroom activities and discussions, students will reflect upon their goals for attending college and learn how to access the many support services and resources available here at St. John’s. This program will provide a solid foundation upon which to begin a rewarding college career.
All students who participate will be entered into a raffle and one student from each cohort will win a $500 gift card to be used for book purchases at the University Bookstore! Join us to find out more details so you can encourage your Johnnie to sign up today as spots are limited.
First Year Eats and Beyond
Learn about the fabulous array of dining options and locations on campus for both commuters and students living in our residence halls. How does a meal membership plan differ from a meal exchange? What are Dining Dollars versus Bonus Dining Dollars? Can students order food online? All this plus hear about our dietician who individually helps students navigate food allergies and dietary restrictions.

"Navigating the First Year: Mentorship for Success" is designed to support your scholar through this pivotal time. St. John's offers two exceptional mentoring programs, EPIC and RISE, that pair your student with experienced mentors who provide personalized guidance, share valuable insights, and offer unwavering support. Our mentorship programs are here to help your scholar build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their goals! Campus Recreation provides fitness opportunities for the entire St. John's University Community! Featuring two facilities: Taffner Field House, our recreation center housing two full-size basketball courts; and the Fitness Center, our space in Carnesecca which contains free weights, cardio, and strength equipment. We offer fitness classes, open rec and intramural team sports, personal training, and so much more. Come find out how your Johnnie can make the most of our facilities and services.

Global Passport: Opens Up the World for First-Year Johnnies
St. John's nationally unique first-year program engages your student's CORE academics from day one. For as little as $750, students can participate in our Global Passport program and experience Paris or Rome for one week in May 2025 as the culmination of their semester-long CORE class.
