HERC is located in Lourdes Hall, room 110 and is open to members of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Mission:
The Health Education Resources Center (HERC) services focus on advanced information literacy, research development, and knowledge acquisition for the various specializations within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. HERC is continuously evolving the quality of our services to align both our comprehension of the ever-changing, complex health-care environment and the learning objectives of the diversified health programs to optimize wellness, advocacy, and engagement.
Our objective is to improve individualized user experience as well as coordinate services that promote academic achievement, collaborative development, and the adaptation of emerging technologies in a friendly, inclusive environment. This perspective guide showcases the various research sources, databases, journals, and array of health materials readily available within HERC.

Take a stroll down memory lane with Dr. Bartillucci's Vignettes.
Andrew J. Bartilucci, Ph.D. ‘44P, ‘98HON, Dean Emeritus of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences.
Along with his degree from the University, Dr.Bartilucci holds a Master of Science from Rutgers University and a doctorate from the University of Maryland. After serving in the US Navy and working briefly in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Bartilluci returned to St. John’s University as a faculty member and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, where he served in that role for thirty-four years.
In 1998, the University conferred upon Dr. Bartilucci the Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. He also holds honorary degrees from Union and Niagara Universities. Other distinctions include the first American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education Distinguished Service Profile Award; and the Pietas, President’s and Outstanding Administrator Medals; the St. Vincent de Paul Medal; and, the Medal of Honor from St. John’s University. In 1990, Dr. Bartilucci was honored by being name an Affiliate of the Congregation of the Mission community.
