Cultural Organizations

Asian American Cultural Organization - A.A.C.O is a group whose mission is to promote awareness of the Asian culture throughout the St. John's Community.

Club DNY – This organization provides a vehicle for students, faculty, administrators, and staff to broaden their knowledge of and their appreciation for the history, the cultural diversity, the intellectual diversity, and the artistic diversity that is available in the city of New York. They provide service and support to the charity and/or charities identified by the membership.

Caution Dance Team – Caution provides opportunities to understand and appreciate other cultures through a variety of musical genres and dance styles. Members will gain knowledge and experience in choreography and performance while preparing themselves for leadership roles. Caution performs at university functions and off campus events. Caution also provides peer mentoring to support student efforts to achieve academic success and to assist them in their transition to the university life in New York City.

Latin American Student Organization – LASO’s objectives are to promote academic endeavors among its members, to help provide a deeper insight into the cultures of a different Latin/Hispanic countries, and to enhance cross cultural education

Multi-Cultural Student Organization - MCSO develops a positive and productive interaction among the diverse cultural groups on our campus by sharing various cultural experiences with the students of the campus and giving a greater understanding of cultural patterns on our campus. 

Pan African Caribbean Student Association - The purpose of PACSA is to develop a productive and friendly atmosphere among the students of various cultures of St John’s University. They educate and inform students about the African and Caribbean cultures around the world to develop a greater understanding of African and Caribbean history.
