Organization's Mission:
The Armenian Students' Association is dedicated to developing
social, intellectual and academic diversity through educating about
and celebrating the Republic of Armenia, Armenian Diaspora, and
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. In all it does, the Armenian
Students' Association strives to bring comfort, hope, and unity as
part of our St. John's University experience. The goal of the
Armenian Students' Association is to provide the opportunity for
all St. John's members to gather and expand their knowledge on the
culture, history, and achievements of Armenians. In addition, the
society will provide a sense of cultural identity and security to
Armenian students and faculty, as well as serve to further
illuminate diversity on campus.
Brief Description of the Organization:
The Armenian Students' Association is a student organization
with an Armenian and Armenian-American focus that educates students
of St. John's University about the Republic of Armenia, the
Armenian Diaspora, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. It
brings together Armenian and non-Armenian students of St. John's
University to celebrate, teach and discuss issues concerning
Armenians.
Examples of Signature Events sponsored by
this organization:
Armenian Genocide commemoration, Educational Ministry lecture
series, Spiritual book reading, Educational Lecture about medieval
Armenian coins, Screamers movie night.
