A democratic society is wholly dependent on a literate and informed population. Parents are often the overlooked partners in this project called the American School. School reform typically focuses on changes in leadership, school structures, teacher’s expertise, curriculum and instructional strategies. This forum explores how working with parents is a value added activity as well as a core function of good schooling.
