Beginning this fall, the Title II Federal Grant will be
sponsoring Automatic Podcasting in all the classrooms on the Queens
campus. This program, the “Apreso Classroom Automatic Podcasting,”
will be available to all classrooms with installed lectern podiums,
allowing for the broadcast of academic classroom lectures on the
Web. In this presentation, Professor Mead, the Title II Educational
Technician Specialist at St. John’s University, will describe how a
professor’s academic lecture can be uploaded onto the St. John’s
Web site and be downloaded by students onto their own personal
computers, iPods or mpg3 players. Additionally, students will be
able to use this program for class projects or specific educational
research.
