Student Debate with representatives from student political
organizations and Faculty Moderator, Robert Tomes, Associate
Professor, Social Sciences.
Questions to be considered include:
1. Should the U.S. build a wall along the Mexican
border to regulate or deter immigration?
2. Should the President be the winner of the
popular vote, or of the electoral college (the process by which the
winner of the popular vote in each state receives all of that
state’s electoral votes)?
3. Should the government fund stem cell
research?
4. Should the President have the power to commit
large numbers of American troops abroad for extended periods of
time without a Congressional declaration of war?
