toxicology is the science that explores the harmful effects
chemicals may have on our world and our bodies.
The need for toxicologists grows stronger everyday. Many
cosmetics have chemicals that threaten the ozone layer. People are
poisoned by asbestos in the workplace, mercury in fish, toxic mold
in homes. Factories dump untreated chemicals into lakes and rivers.
