Transferable Credits and Additional
Requirements
1. Tranfering Credits
TransferStudents entering St. John’s University with an AOS
(Associate in Occupational Studies) degree from AADA will receive
60 credits toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Television and
Film Studies at St. John’s University.
The 60 credits are distributed as follows: 9 in the major,
18 in the liberal arts core, 6 in professional electives, and 27 in
free electives. The student will have to take 66 credits at
St. John’s University with 39 of these being in the
major.
Students who have successfully completed one year and earned 30
credits at AADA will receive 30 credits toward a Bachelor of
Science degree in Television and Film Studies at St. John’s
University. The student will have to take 96 credits at St.
John’s University.
Those students who have completed or will complete a third year
of training at the Academy may be eligible for additional credits,
subject to review by St. John’s University. College credits
earned at other colleges/universities will be reviewed by St.
John’s University, and considered for credit toward the
baccalaureate degree.
2. Additional Requirements
In addition to an Academy degree, students of the Academy are
required to have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0.
