Whether you choose to live on or off campus, St. John's University will help you find the right accommodations.

Living On Campus

Freshmen
If you are an entering freshman, it is recommended that you live in our student residence halls unless you have made appropriate arrangements for off-campus housing approved by a relative or guardian.

Let us know as soon as possible that you want to live on campus by applying online. If submitting a print application, indicate your interest in on-campus housing and send your completed application - with all requested documents - to the Office of International Admission, St. John's University, 8000 Utopia Parkway, Queens, NY  11439, USA.

Transfer and Graduate Students
On-campus housing for international transfer and graduates students is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate your interest in on-campus housing by completing your application for admission as soon as possible:

  • Applying online as an international transfer student.
  • Applying online as an international graduate student.

If you are applying by regular mail, indicate your interest in on-campus housing and send your application to:

Living Off Campus
If you plan to live off-campus, make temporary arrangements with friends, family, a residence hall or hotel in the New York City area while you look for permanent housing, you can find assistance at Residence Life.
