The diploma is a 24 credit-hour certificate that may be completed
in two semesters. The fall sequence includes

(Principles of Risk and Insurance),
RMI3334
(Property and Liability Insurance),
RMI3360
(Corporate Risk Management), and
RMI4364
(Reinsurance). The spring sequence includes
RMI3335
(Life-Health, Pensions & Social Insurance),
RMI3350
(Risk Seminar),
RMI3361
(Alternative Risk Transfer), and
RMI4390
(Industry Structure and Operations). The program is intended
as an in-depth "second major" for those who did not pursue Risk
Management or Insurance in their undergraduate programs and wish to
gain such a base of knowledge. While an undergraduate degree
is not a prerequisite for admission, most people who enroll possess
a minimum of an Associate degree, significant college level study
and/or industry experience. Students who qualify are encouraged to
instead consider the MS program.
