Department Overview
To develop a sound appreciation and mastery of the principles,
customs and conventions necessary for achieving success in public
and private accounting practice. The Department offers an
undergraduate Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
program in Accounting.
In addition, the Department offers an undergraduate B.S. degree
program in Public Accounting with a dual major in either
Finance or Management Information Systems. The Department also
provides combined degree programs leading to a B.S. degree and
Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Public Accounting or
Taxation or alternatively, a Master of Business Administration
(M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Public Accounting.
These programs satisfy the educational requirements for
admission to CPA examinations as prescribed by the New York State
Department of Education.
