Candidates are required to complete 60 semester hours of credit of a prescribed  program of study with a minimum cumulative quality point index of 2.0 for all courses and for all courses in the major area. The curriculum includes required courses in the liberal arts and sciences, computer science and elective courses.

Students completing the A.S. degree in Information Technology may continue for another two years to complete the B.S. degree in Information Technology with the business option.

Core Requirements
39 credits in the liberal arts and sciences:

  • 6 credits in Accounting (ACC):
    • ACC 1007: Fundamentals of Accounting I
    • ACC 1013: Managerial Accounting
  • 6 credits in English (ENG):
    • ENG 1000C: Composition: Critical Analysis in Reading and Writing
    • ENG 1100C: Literature in a Global Context
  • 6 credits in Philosophy (PHI):
    • PHI 1000C: Philosophy of the Human Person
    • PHI 3000C: Metaphysics
  • 9 credits in Mathematics (MTH):
    • MTH 1007: College Algebra and Trigonometry
    • * MTH 1008: Matrix Methods
    • * MTH 1021: Introduction to Statistics
      * Qualified students may elect to substitute MTH 1009 and/or MTH 1013
  • HIS 1000C: The Emergence of Global Society
  • SCI 1000C: Scientific Inquiry
  • THE 1000C: Catholic Perspectives on Christianity

Free Electives
3 credits, selected in accordance with the student's prospective baccalaureate major to assist in the achievement of personal or professional goals.
