November 14, 2005—Teresa Danile, Associate Professor of Accounting and Taxation at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, has recently been elected as a member of the Town Council of Franklin, New Jersey. Councilwoman Danile (D), was elected for a second term for the 2nd Ward of Franklin Township last week and intends to work to ease traffic congestion, control municipal spending and control property taxes by reducing health care costs. Danile is currently fighting to purchase additional open space in order to limit development in Ward 2.
“I am proud and honored to be an elected member of the Township Council,” says Danile. “As a Certified Public Accountant and as an Associate Professor of Accounting and Taxation at St. John’s University, I have a special expertise that is valuable to all of our Township’s taxpayers. I am committed to serving all our citizens without regard to partisanship and to work hard to control costs and to stabilize taxes.”
