Benjamin R. Silliman, M.S., M.A.Professor of Accounting and
TaxationProfessor Benjamin R. Silliman has a Master of Accountancy from
the University of Mississippi, a Master of Taxation from the
University of Denver, College of Law and a Master of Arts in
Student Personnel Administration from New York University.
Professor Silliman is currently enrolled in a doctoral (Ph.D.)
program in Higher Education Administration at New York
University.
Professor Silliman is currently registered as a Certified Public
Accountant in the State of Colorado. He has published an article in
the peer-reviewed journal, Review of Business. Professor
Silliman obtained his audit experience with Arthur Andersen &
Company where he was a Tax Consultant and with the National
Broadcasting Company, Inc., where he was a senior network
auditor. He was the Associate Director of Financial Aid at
the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, and a
Graduate Program Associate and Doctoral Intern at New York
University and Borough of Manhattan Community College,
respectively. He was also the accounting manager at the
College of Insurance. Currently, he provides consulting
services for the Borough of Manhattan Community College and for his
own account.
