Dr. Pauline Magee-EganAssociate Dean for External Relations
Professor of Management Dr. Magee-Egan earned her B.Sc. Degree, MS in Psychology, and Ph.D. in Psychology from Fordham University. She began her teaching career in 1958 at St. John's and has also taught at New York University, St. Vincent's Hospital and Iona College. In addition to her teaching at St. John's, she is an internal consultant at the University and is Director of the Internship program. Dr. Magee-Egan has served as a consultant at St. Vincent's Hospital, a consortium of banking institutions, the National Council of Churches, the Salvation Army, the American Management Association, Executive Enterprises, and the United Nations Secretariat. Dr. Magee-Egan is a past President of the Personnel, Industrial and Organizational Division of the New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA). She also served as a consultant, chairperson and speaker for the American Management Association. In this capacity she has toured nationally, giving seminars in training and development of managers, supervisors and women, and has designed programs for human resource managers from numerous corporations. Dr. Magee-Egan recently conducted a study on "Ethics in Investment Companies." She has made numerous presentations and has been frequently quoted by the media.
Dr. Magee-Egan's many honors and awards include membership in Who's Who in Industry and Finance, International Speakers Platform, Psi Chi National Honor Society, American Scholars, Who's Who in American Women, and she is an honorary member of the Skull and Circle Honor Society. Dr. Magee-Egan is a member of the American Psychology Association and is a New York Licensed Psychologist.
