To attain Associateship, the
candidate must successfully complete Exams P, FM, M and
C, collectively known as the preliminary education component,
two electives and the Associateship Professionalism
Course (APC) and must have the Application for Admission as
an Associate approved by the Board of Governors of The Society of
Actuaries. To attain Fellowship status, candidates must first have
reached Associate status, and then must also successfully complete
Courses 7 and 8 and the Professional Development
(PD) requirement. The Center offers a series of intensive
review seminars to help participants achieve Associate and Fellow
status in The Society of Actuaries or The Casualty Actuarial
Society. Please note that not all courses are offered each
semester.
Who should enroll?
Working actuaries within the life and health
insurance, investment, employee benefits or pension consulting
industries who desire to broaden their knowledge of the field and
who desire to attain the highest and most widely accepted
memberships in the actuarial field.

Exam P/1: Probability (5 Sundays)
Exam MF/2: Financial Mathematics (12 weeks)
Exam MLC: Actuarial Models - Life Contingencies
Segment (12 weeks)
Exam 3L: Life Contingencies and
Statistics (12 weeks)
Exam C: Construction & Evaluation of Actuarial Models (15
weeks)
As of Fall
2005, the exam for P/1 is offered as a computer-based test
only. Consult the SOA website for specific
dates.
