The St. John's School of Law Office of Alumni Relations and
Development applauds the efforts of three law firms who have
achieved “Participation Perfection” in the 2007 – 2008 Law Firm
Challenge campaign. Gratitude and congratulations are
extended to the St. John’s Law graduates employed at
Cahill, Gordon and Reindel LLP, Chadbourne and Park
LLP and Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin and Spratt
LLP who unanimously supported this year’s annual
campaign. All told, over thirty firms and four hundred St.
John’s Law graduates were involved in this effort which “rolls up
into” the Law School’s Annual Appeal. The average
participation rate for alumni support at the firms involved in the
Law Firm Challenge exceeded 38 percent.
Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin and Spratt have now attained
“Participation Perfection” each of the five years that the Law Firm
Challenge has existed. For the second consecutive year,
Cahill, Gordon and Reindel, LLP had 100% of the St. Johhn’s
graduates employed there contribute to the Law School.
Chadbourne and Park, LLP. also attained “Participation Perfection”
thanks to the generosity of alum employed at that firm.
Each participating firm has a Challenge Liaison who interfaces
with the Law School throughout the year to communicate events at
St. John’s Law and the respective firm’s status in the
initiative. Special thanks must be extended to: Christopher
Simone ’94 from Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin and Spratt LLP, Maura
McLoughlin ’91, ’06HON from Cahill, Gordon and Reindel, LLP and
Bruce Sheffler ’82 from Chadbourne and Park, LLP who tirelessly
served as Challenge Liaisons between their respective firms and
alma mater. It is important to note, that each
individual donor is extended the courtesy of gift amount
confidentiality and the ability to direct the intent of their
respective gift within the Law School.
In general, funds raised by the St. John’s Law Firm Challenge
are used to support; financial assistance for qualified students,
faculty professorships and program and technology enhancements at
the Law School. Payments made on existing pledges count
towards challenge participation. Alumni choosing to support
alma mater can make their tax deductible gift through a
secure internet site, via phone or through the mail. Many Law
Firm Challenge participants are also Loughlin Level (donations of
$1,000 or more) supporters, as a gift made to the Law Firm
Challenge at the Loughlin level counts towards both
initiatives.
