This is the final event of the Three-College Lectures Series. It is open to students from St. John’s, Wagner College and the College of Staten Island, as well as invited high school students, civic leaders, local elected officials and their staffs, local political groups and the general public. A collaborative endeavor among the three colleges, this lecture is intended to spark civic and political participation among college students and young adults.

A panel of noted scientists (Dr. Azedine Layachi and Dr. William Bryne, St. John’s University, Department of Government and Politics; Dr. Richard Flanagan, College of Staten Island, Department of Political Science, Economics and Philosophy and Dr. Jeffrey Kraus, Wagner College, Department of Government and Politics) from the Three Colleges discuss the political ramifications of the 2008 Presidential Election results. Points of discussion include the demographic breakdown of the voting constituencies and the impact on the future of policy making on critical issues.
