Issues Affecting America: Responsible Citizenship Fall 2008

For a generation savvy about media biases — and packaging, Gideon Yago frames complex issues in an unbiased, insightful format. His presentation is a hip look at the presidential race and other newsworthy events around the world. For the 2008 Presidential elections, Yago has been the host of MTV and MySpace.com’s Presidential Dialogues, conducting interviews with and hosting town halls on-air and online for Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. John McCain, Sen. Barack Obama, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. John Edwards and Ron Paul.

For seven years, Gideon Yago was the face of news and current events to millions of young adults in America. As a correspondent and producer for MTV News, Yago led the network’s coverage of elections, wars, national crises and social trends affecting young people. He has received numerous awards, including an Emmy for his coverage of the 2004 election, a George Foster Peabody Award for his work in MTV’s “Fight For Your Rights: Sexual Health” campaign and an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2004 for outstanding documentary coverage of the Iraq war.
