St. John’s University School Of Risk Management Elects New Members To Board Of Overseers

New York, NY - The School of Risk Management (SRM) at St. John's University announced that Hemant Shah, President & Chief Executive Officer of Risk Management Solutions (RMS); and Jack Snyder, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of American Re-Insurance Company were elected to its Board of Overseers at its February 12, 2004 meeting.  The Board of Overseers is comprised of 46 senior level executives in the insurance and financial services industries worldwide.

"SRM's Board of Overseers has grown in stature and diversity, as well as through its tremendous commitment to education and the school," stated Ellen Thrower, Executive Director of SRM.  "I am excited about the prospects of working with the Board as we move into a new era of excellence."

The School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science was founded in 1901 as The Insurance Society of New York and over the years, evolved into a fully accredited College, The College of Insurance.  In June 2001, the College merged with St. John's University and became a school of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business.  Located in New York City's downtown financial district, SRM awards undergraduate, MBA, and MS degrees in the insurance, risk management, and actuarial science disciplines.  Through its Center for Professional Education SRM also provides education, training and consulting services to industry, governments and regulators worldwide.
